Who We Are

We are a coalition of over 20 non-profit and advocacy organizations that share a concern for protecting the environment and changing the direction of Maryland’s transportation policy. MAST supports reliable, transit-focused solutions that address the climate crisis and our transportation problems, rather than exacerbate them. We are especially concerned by the state’s harmful plans to expand the Capital Beltway and I-270. We urge the state to study an integrated transit-oriented development, transit, demand management alternative.
